Are you one of those super multi-tasking students that uses a mobile device while riding a bicycle? 😉 Starting from 1st of July 2019, it is prohibited to use a mobile device (phones, music players etc.) while riding your bicycle. This includes using it to navigate, whatsapp, scrolling through music etc. Anything that keeps your eyes from being on the road. Of course you can use it when you’re standing still. This is a new policy implemented nationally. Vanaf 1 juli 2019 mag u geen mobiele telefoon meer vasthouden tijdens het fietsen. Bijvoorbeeld om te appen, de navigatie te gebruiken of muziek uit te zoeken op de fiets. Het verbod geldt voor alle mobiele elektronische apparaten voor communicatie- en informatieverwerking. Dus ook voor muziekspelers. Als u stilstaat mag u uw telefoon of ander mobiel apparaat vasthouden en bedienen. Wacht niet tot 1 juli en probeer er nu alvast aan te wennen!
