Is hier in Groenlo een nieuwe Olympisch kampioene in de maak? Joyce Heuitink behaalde dit weekend tijdens het CHIO in Aken met Gaudi Vita twee zilveren medailles. Gefeliciteerd met deze geweldig prestatie in dit zware deelnemersveld.

Vanavond gaat OOG tijdens de raadscommissie vragen stellen over twee actuele zaken. Vragen over de bestrijding van de eikenprocessierups en vragen over de uitblijvende reactie van het college met betrekking tot de recente ontwikkelingen van de mestvergister op de Laarberg.

De kruising bij de Rabobank in Groenlo heeft te kampen met een steeds verder toenemende verkeersstroom. Voor de aard en omvang van het huidige verkeer is deze kruising niet langer geschikt. Het College heeft in antwoord op vragen van OOG toegezegd de zaak te zullen bestuderen maar dat is voor ons niet voldoende. Er is haast geboden. De situatie is inmiddels ronduit gevaarlijk. De fractie van OOG zal in de gemeenteraad aandacht blijven vragen voor dit onderwerp en geeft tevens haar volledige steun aan de petitie die momenteel loopt om het College te verzoeken de zaak sneller aan te pakken. Een paar maanden studeren kunnen we ons niet meer permitteren. Er moet snel iets gebeuren.
