A book excerpt and interview with Madeleine Albright, former American Secretary of State and author of “Fascism: A Warning”

"If Monnet, Schuman and Adenauer only looked at the past of Europe and to the past of actions done by countries towards each other there wouldn’t have been a Europe and no European Union with 70 years of peace. These man decided to look at the future they wanted and came up with a plan how to get there. This is what I ask with this resolution proposal: have the vision of world-wide peace and prosperity and work towards this goal. Have our mindset and our actions on the society we want." Wij zijn bezig met de resolutie voorstel die in het kort verwoord gaat over: "de EU onderneemt stevige actie om bij te dragen aan een sterker en effectievere Verenigde Naties (VN). De EU en andere landen zullen veel baat hebben bij deze resolutie." Gelukkig stijgt het aantal steuners van deze resolutie steeds verder. Ook komt er input van mensen die zeggen "kijk naar het verleden, kijk naar de situatie in een aantal landen nu, dit gaat nooit lukken". Mijn vraag is: kijken we naar het verleden en blijven we dat herhalen of kijken we naar de toekomst die we willen en zetten we ons daar voor in?

Inderdaad: inzetten, samenwerken en afstemmen voor mensen en samenleving. Voel de positieve intentie.
