Take your own packaging! Do you also want to combat single-use packaging? In a few shops in Wageningen you can now fill your own bowl, jar, or box with vegetables, herbs, coffee, pet food, candy etc. The stores where you can bring your own packaging can be recognized by the sticker “Neem gerust je eigen verpakking mee” translated to “Feel free to bring your own packaging” from Zero Waste Netherlands. "Make use of eachother, we're here to help you" was one of the main messages during last weeks Kick Stress event led by S&I, Student Council Party. It is important to reach out and make time for eachother. It was a successful inspiring evening with many people sharing their experiences and ideas on how to tackle stress. Smart mobility is the future. Or is it? Today we attended an inspiring symposium about smart mobility and what it could mean for Wageningen. Examples from student city Nijmegen to how companies are committed to encouraging their employees to use smarter transportation lead to interesting discussions. Presentations and input from FoodValley, WUR, Gelderland Province, Wageningen Municipality, and researchers highlight the necessity for a multi-disciplinary approach. It was definitely an inspiring afternoon that boosted our creativity to further think about how to improve Wageningens mobility issues. #smart #mobility

Over the weekend we had a delegation over from Wageningens partner city Gödöllö, Hungary. Connect had the pleasure to welcome two students who are in the process of setting up a youth council at their municipality. It is great to see that youth around the world are standing up for themselves and want to be involved more in decision making. Sharing experiences and ideas opens our perspective that in other countries around the world it is not always as easy. We had a lovely exchange and hope to see them soon in Gödöllö! #youth #leaders #exchange
