Do you sometimes have to go to the municipality to renew your passport or get your driving licence but find it difficult to find time in your schedule? Then fill in the survey from the municipality about their opening hours! You can fill in the survey until 31st of March 2019 via www.wageningen.nl/enquete (there's an english version!) The current opening hours are: without an appointment: - wednesday from 08:30 - 12:00 - friday from 13:30 - 19:00 With an appointment: - monday, tuesday and thursday from 08:30 - 16:00 - wednesday from 13:30 - 16:00 - friday from 08:30 - 12:00

Enquête openingstijden publiekszaken Wat vind je van de huidige openingstijden van de balies bij publiekszaken (paspoort, rijbewijs enz)? Wij willen graag van je weten of deze aansluiten bij jouw behoefte. Daarom houden we een enquête over de openingstijden. De vragen kan je tot en met 31 maart 2019 digitaal beantwoorden via www.wageningen.nl/enquete. The past years it was known as the ugliest place of Wageningen, but there may soon be changes. Idealis has plans to realise student housing on this vacant piece of land. Yesterday, Mark Reijerman represented Connect Wageningen during the political evening on this subject. In two weeks, the city council will vote on the plans. #housing #wageningen #politics #students

What are your ideas for the Aula? Wageningen UR is looking for a new purpose for the Aula located at the Generaal Foulkesweg. Previously, the Aula has been used for graduations and Phd defences. The new plans needs to give justice to the cultural-historical value of the building and should be an added value for the city center of Wageningen. Recycling is a core factor for creating a circular economy that start at home. Last week we had a meeting with the civil servant about waste management in Wageningen. Wageningen provides orange bags for collecting PMD (plastic, metal, drink cartons), which you can get for free at the municipality reception. Did you know that proper recycling of our waste has a direct impact on our 'afvalstoffenheffing'? We pay to burn the normal waste, but get a premium on all plastic. Therefore, the less normal waste we produce, the less taxes we will have to pay! #recycle #waste #circulareconomy #wageningen

Last night, our chairwoman Rani Temmink recited our jointly written speech during the general considerations. We shared our vision for the 2018 – 2022 budget and raised awareness for, among other things, integration, the housing crisis, and the economic growth of Wageningen. Stress, depression and burn-out symptoms among students is dramatically increasing. Pressure to perform, student debts or finding housing all contribute to this trend. Stress is also the #1 health problem among employees. Together with Startpunt Wageningen who provides social advice and services and Student Alliance Wageningen who commits to student issues we talked about how we can make stress, depression and burn-outs more acceptable to talk about and which actions we can take to address the growing issue.

De zomer schijnt nu wel echt voorbij te zijn. Het is midden oktober en de pompoenen mogen zo weer de kast uit. Je geloofd ons niet als we zeggen dat het over 68 dagen kerst is, maar toch is het zo. Dit is te merken aan de eerste pepernoten die in de supermarkten liggen en de sfeervolle...
