After the defeat of many left-wing, progressive, and social-democratic parties in elections throughout Europe, something needs to change. Do we need a new narrative to convince voters? Do we need to turn left? Or would charismatic leaders be able to fight off populism and right-wing dominance? How do we create a real social Europe? To shape the future of Social Europe, this lively debate will start from the view that in any case we need concrete ideas, dots on the horizon, a vision that gives perspective to many people with real answers to challenges. With renowned scholars, politicians, EC representatives and other people with great ideas, we will address some hot issues. What should social security of tomorrow look like? How do we make the digitalisation of the labour market work for the people? How do we create a green economy? Organised by and for the progressive community in Brussels, the event is part of the 'I Vote Where I Live' Campaign (https://www.facebook.com/IvoteWhereILive/), organised to engage people in Brussels to vote in Brussels' local elections in 2018. So: save the date, register, and come numerously! Room is open at 18.30, we start at 19h. Drinks will be served afterwards.
