Another throwback (because it's Tuesday): in April VVD International supported the European Liberal Forum Expert Forum on Priorities for the EU budget, as part of a series of expert forums that was organised around Europe on topical matters and challenges for the upcoming elections for the European Parliament. The expert sessions were part of a new way the ALDE party is considering its manifesto for the 2019 elections. Check out the summary the ALDE Party published:

Politicians and experts, including ALDE Party President Hans van Baalen MEP, came together on 21 April to discuss on the priorities of the EU budget. This is the fifth of a series of events organised around Europe as the ALDE Party considers its 2019 manifesto.

Meet one of our partners, the Egyptian Center for Public Policy Studies (ECPPS) 👋. ECPPS is a think tank, and last week they visited the VVD to learn more about the work our members of parliament are doing, as well as exchanging experiences on online advocacy and what kind of activities our think tank the TeldersStichting is organising. Aankomend weekend gaat Hongarije naar de stembus. Zusterpartij Momentum Mozgalom doet voor het eerst aan de parlementsverkiezingen in Hongarije mee en hebben in de voorbereidingen op de zware campagne VVD Internationaal advies gevraagd over het opzetten van hun landelijke campagnestructuur. Fruitful discussions on Russia's International Relations in last week's symposium! This event was organized by ELF, VVDInternational/ Haya van Somerenstichting and TeldersStichting. Our three guest speakers: Sean McMeekin, Koert DeBeuf and Tony van der Togt discussed the Russian Revolution and Russia's relations with the Middle East and Europe. For the second year VVD International supports the Interdisciplinary Study Programme of the Political Academy of Croatian sister party HNS. Within this 6-months programme, over 20 people from local branches and civil society have followed a series of workshops on politics and policy making. Yesterday evening, VVD expert Nanda provided a workshop on the linkages between a party's ideology, policy development and challenges to implementation. We wish the participants good luck with their final assignments and many thanks to HNS and the Political Academy for hosting us 👊

Politička akademija Hrvatske narodne stranke - liberalnih demokrata

Danas je delegacija VVD-a posjetila Središnji ured HNS-a gdje je održan sastanak na kojem je prisustvovao Ivan Vrdoljak, kandidat za predsjednika HNS-a, Srećko Ferenčak, glavni tajnik, Boris Blažeković, voditelj Političke akademije HNS-a i međunarodni tajnik te Goran Neralić, predsjednik Međunarodnog edukacijskog centra. Sastanak je održan nakon što je dan prije održano predavanje o javnim politkama u sklopu jednogodišnjeg studija Akademije i MEC-a. Ovim putem zahvaljujemo VVD-u na potpori u organizaciji studija i odličnoj suradnji na drugim projektima u stranci i regiji.
