Meet one of our partners, the Egyptian Center for Public Policy Studies (ECPPS) 👋. ECPPS is a think tank, and last week they visited the VVD to learn more about the work our members of parliament are doing, as well as exchanging experiences on online advocacy and what kind of activities our think tank the TeldersStichting is organising. Throwback 2017 - the most #gaaf event VVD International has been part of: the ALDE party congress in Amsterdam, with the largest VVD delegation ever. Oh, and let's not forget the nearly military operation to get everyone up those stairs for the group pic ;) Happy new year! 🎉🎆

The year 2017 is a wrap! With one final workshop for new parliamentarians and candidate MPs from different sister parties from the Central and South-Eastern European region. Plenty of discussion and questions on topics such as “I am a new MP, now what?”, and on “How to be a good opposition or coalition MP?”, while also new friendships were formed. Many thanks to HNS for hosting us and we’re looking catch up with everyone and their new experiences next year 👊

Fruitful discussions on Russia's International Relations in last week's symposium! This event was organized by ELF, VVDInternational/ Haya van Somerenstichting and TeldersStichting. Our three guest speakers: Sean McMeekin, Koert DeBeuf and Tony van der Togt discussed the Russian Revolution and Russia's relations with the Middle East and Europe. We thank our guest speakers for their fascinating stories! #ELFevent 👍

Delegation visit! This week we welcomed the delegation of South-African majors from our sister party: Democratic Alliance. Firstly they met with Appie Massaoudi, who is helping the local youth by employing them at the local market in The Hague: working together for a better neighborhood! After that they met with our International Secretary Jock Geselschap with whom they discussed citizen participation. They also talked about coalition politics with Antoinette van der Laan, who is the chairman of the VVD in Rotterdam. We had a great time and we were happy to host them! #Gaaf! 👊
