Parkeren Olympiaplein en Stadsbrink verandert Vanaf 1 februari wordt betaald en vergunning parkeren ingevoerd op het Olympiaplein en de Stadsbrink. Door je kenteken in te voeren kan je digitaal betalen. Het eerste uur is gratis, maar je moet je dan wel registreren! Alle omwonenden hebben een brief ontvangen over de verandering. Hoe werkt het? Je voert bij de parkeerautomaat het kenteken in en hoeft na betaling met muntgeld of betaalpas niet meer terug naar de auto om het bonnetje op het dashboard te leggen. De parkeercontroleur scant het kenteken van het geparkeerde voertuig en controleert zo of je hebt betaald. Een speciaal promoteam maakt op 1, 2 en 3 februari bewoners en bezoekers wegwijs in het nieuwe parkeersysteem.

Hierover vragen gesteld en nu gaat de de gemeente de volgende aanpassingen doorvoeren: - het bord voor fietsers, gaan we vervangen voor een bord voor auto’s met een verplichte rijrichting (dit gaan we zo spoedig mogelijk regelen). - voor fietsers zetten we geen nieuw bord neer, maar komt er een middellijn op de kruising (dit doen we zodra de rode laag aangebracht is).' WAGENINGEN - Marisabel Pardo groeide op in Bolivia en kwam in het jaar 2002 naar Nederland. Sinds mei vorig jaar zit ze namens Groen Links in de gemeenteraad van Wageningen. ,,Mijn dochter vind dat ik de koningin lijk die iedereen begroet.’’

As a municipality, we must draw up an environmental plan. A long-term plan for the entire physical environment. We would like to involve residents in this process. A proposal is to do that via co-creation. But what exactly is co-creation? Is this the right strategy? And in which phases is it most important to involve residents? Wageningen is a city bursting with science and knowledge. The role of knowledge and science in decision-making is a topic widely debated on – and an important one. This week we were interviewed by students of the course Landscape Economics and Politics about our visions on the growth and opportunities of Wageningen. Besides us, numerous stakeholders were approached. The students will now analyse their data and write advise for the municipality. We find it important to be available for such requests for others to learn while contributing to real-life questions. Often these projects result in new insights which can be taken into account in decision-making. We’re looking forward to the valuable results! #science #politics #wageningen

The past years it was known as the ugliest place of Wageningen, but there may soon be changes. Idealis has plans to realise student housing on this vacant piece of land. Yesterday, Mark Reijerman represented Connect Wageningen during the political evening on this subject. In two weeks, the city council will vote on the plans. #housing #wageningen #politics #students

What are your ideas for the Aula? Wageningen UR is looking for a new purpose for the Aula located at the Generaal Foulkesweg. Previously, the Aula has been used for graduations and Phd defences. The new plans needs to give justice to the cultural-historical value of the building and should be an added value for the city center of Wageningen.
