Met name in het buitengebied moesten in het plan veel lantaarnpalen verdwijnen. Als CDA fractie hebben we destijds al aangegeven dat de veiligheid niet in het geding mag komen en was er brede consensus dat in het buitengebied kruispunten, t-splitsingen en gevaarlijke bochten in ieder geval verlicht zouden blijven. Er mochten eventueel lantaarnpalen binnen de bebouwde kom voor gebruikt worden als daar een breed draagvlak voor was.Nu in de diverse dorpen en wijken aan de slag wordt gegaan met de openbare verlichting krijgen we ook uit verschillende hoeken reacties van mensen die hun zorgen uiten over de veiligheid. Zo ook de brief van een inwoner uit Neerkant waarvan we in de raad van 13 maart 2018 gevraagd hebben deze in de commissie te agenderen.In de informatie nota krijgen wij uitleg over het beleidsplan openbare verlichting en wordt het volgende gesteld:- dat er afgesproken is dat er lantaarnpalen binnen de bebouwde kom mogen vervallen ten gunste van het buitengebied- dat deze afspraak strijdig is met het Deurnes niveau, maar dat is NIET aangegeven toen de afspraak is gemaakt- dat het Deurnes niveau een richtlijn is en geen wet- dat er op plaatsen nu al niet aan het Deurnes niveau voldaan wordtHieruit concluderen wij dat er geen eenduidigheid is waar de verschillende dorps en wijkraden mee kunnen werken of hebben gewerkt. Daarnaast betwijfelen wij of de veiligheid met name in het buitengebied wel geborgd blijft als blijkt dat er dadelijk kruispunten en andere gevaarlijke punten onverlicht zijn geworden. Daarom pleiten wij voor het vaststellen van een minimale veiligheid van verlichting in het buitengebied dat inhoudt dat op elke kruispunt of t-splitsing (verhard of onverhard) verlichting aanwezig is. Dat er verschil zou worden gemaakt tussen verharde en onverharde wegen is ons als fractie niet bekend en voor zover wij kunnen nagaan ook niet specifiek opgenomen in het voorstel wat we in 2015 hebben besproken. Wij horen graag of andere fracties een minimale veiligheid qua verlichting willen ondersteunen.Tevens hebben wij begrepen dat de wethouder op 7 maart 2018 in een overleg met de indiener van de brief toegezegd heeft dat de lantaarnpalen weer terug zouden komen.
