Expats: Choose for action on the 21st of March!
On the 21st of March, municipal elections will be held throughout the Netherlands; which means that our community of valuable expats could be also allowed to vote here in Rijswijk. Many expats living in Rijswijk are allowed to vote. You might be too. Please contact the municipality for further information or check this website. https://www.rijswijk.nl/contact
The VVD Rijswijk, a local branch of the party that is delivering the prime minister of the Netherlands for the last 8 years, is calling out to you, all people who don’t have the Dutch nationality but still provide valuable services to our communities. We want you to feel welcome in Rijswijk. We want to make information from the municipality and about events clear and available for our expats. Simply because you are part of our community and contribute to help make Rijswijk a nice place to live. The VVD Rijswijk wants to keep Rijswijk that way: a city were everybody is able to get the same fair chances, with low taxes, were working pays off!
To vote, remember to take your ‘’stempas’’ with you, if you didn’t get your stempas yet, don’t forget to notify the municipality! Also bring an official declaration of residence with you or your passport/identity card. Polling stations will be open from 07:30 till 21:00 on the 21st.

The Rijswijk green party, GroenLinks Rijswijk, would like to invite you, as an expat, to a get together on the 16th of March, from 5:30 to 7 pm, at our Campaign House for GroenLinks Rijswijk, Herenstraat 103, 2282 BS Rijswijk. We are interested in hearing from you, what the particular needs are for expats rebuilding their lives in Rijswijk. Rijswijk heads the province in the amount of business space. We have many international businesses here, with people from all over the world working at them. A small percentage of them live here too. We’ve noticed that our expats have needs such as day care for their children. It’s important to GroenLinks that people can live close to where they work. It saves on the commute and there for emissions. GroenLinks would like to know from you, what you are missing in Rijswijk and if we can help to give you information about club life and the activities that take place in Rijswijk. We’d like to personally welcome you to Rijswijk, get to know you and if you are interested, maybe you would like to know more about us, too.
