De gewelddadige dood van George Floyd in Minneapolis (Verenigde Staten) waardoor acties tegen racisme en discriminatie over het algemeen – en Nederland in het bijzonder – extra in de belangstelling kwamen te staan was voor HeerlenMondiaal de aanleiding om op:
Zaterdag 20 juni vanaf 14.00 de demonstratie: “Parkstad staat stil bij racisme” te organiseren met als startpunt het Van Grunsvenplein te Heerlen.

Congres uitgesteld vanwege coronavirus | Kerkrade

Vanwege het coronavirus stellen we ons congres aankomende zaterdag in Den Bosch uit.
De gezondheid van ons allemaal staat voor ons uiteraard voorop. We nemen de adviezen van het RIVM heel serieus en hoewel er nu nog geen advies is om grote evenementen te annuleren, willen we geen onnodige risico’s nemen.
Daarnaast willen we dat zoveel mogelijk leden naar het congres kunnen komen en mee kunnen stemmen. Door het coronavirus is dat nu in het geding.
We gaan op zoek naar een nieuwe datum: we hopen ergens in de komende drie maanden. De oorspronkelijke agenda blijft zoveel mogelijk gehandhaafd. Zodra de datum van het nieuwe congres bekend is, horen jullie uiteraard van ons.

Op 14 maart houdt GroenLinks hun landelijke congres in Den Bosch. Op dit congres gaat DWARS 3 moties indienen: Jonge kandidaten op de lijst, Eerlijke vergoeding voor stagiairs, en Omnivoor?
