De buitenschoolse opvang van De Korfkidz aan de Amsterdamseweg achter de voormalige Roelof Venemaschool kreeg afgelopen week bericht van de gemeente dat er een nieuw huurcontract met recht van opstal voor 10 jaar aangeboden wordt. Hierdoor kan De Korfkidz haar werkzaamheden op deze plek voortzetten.
De Amstelveense ondernemersfamilie Wardenaar die zowel BSO De Korfkidz als het kinderdagverblijf de Kinderkorf succesvol organiseert, is hier erg blij mee. Directeur René Wardenaar heeft na overleg met de oudercommissie dit aanbod direct aanvaard; hij wil met de gemeente verder praten over een permanent gebouw op de locatie van De Korfkidz om de dienstverlening nog beter te maken. Daar waar het kinderdagverblijf de Kinderkorf al in 2 permanente gebouwen op diezelfde plek gevestigd is, zou nu een stap gezet kunnen worden naar ook een permanente plek voor BSO De Korfkidz.
Dochter en operationeel manager van de Kinderkorf en De Korfkidz Marleen Wardenaar is super blij dat haar werk voor de kinderen en hun ouders samen met 6 medewerkers door kan gaan. Zij geeft aan dat de vraag naar zowel de kinderopvang als de buitenschoolse opvang groeit in dit deel van Amstelveen. Onlangs nog kreeg zij vergunning van de gemeente het aantal kindplaatsen bij De Korfkidz te mogen uitbreiden.
