EU Citizens who are of age (18 and over) are allowed to vote in the the municipal elections in the municipality where they are registered on the day the candidates are nominated (i.e. 44 days before the election). Other non-Dutch nationals who have been living in the Netherlands for at least 5 years (with a residence permit) are allowed to vote as well and under the same conditions (that they are of age and have been registered in the Municipality at least 44 days before the election).

If you have registered with the Municipality as a resident, the ’stempas’ (polling card) will be sent to you at your home address at least 14 days before the election. With the polling card you will receive the list of candidates and addresses of the polling stations.

When going to the Stembureau (polling office) on the day of the elections, please make sure to bring the polling card, together with a valid ID.

Please be aware of these dates; If you choose to vote in the Municipal elections of March the 16th 2022, please make sure that you have registered as a resident by January the 31st!

Op vrijdag 27 augustus brachten CDA-raadsleden Rob van Woudenberg en Gerrit Jan Valk een bezoek aan expositieruimte 38CC in de Papenstraat 5 te Delft. 38CC heeft een tentoonstellingsprogramma met hedendaagse en moderne kunsten met bijzondere achtergronden en verhalen. Het bezoek was voorbereidend op het Cultuurkader (dat donderdag 2 september in de commissie EFB wordt besproken) en op de aankomende begroting. Daarnaast onderstrepen we met dit bezoek dat het belangrijk is dat in Delft ook kleinere cultuurspelers zijn, die zorgen voor een mooi, gevarieerd en breed cultuuraanbod hebben. Het gesprek met directeur Coen de Jong en coördinator parallelprogramma Lucia Hazenberg was zeer inspirerend. Deze bevlogen en gepassioneerde mensen hebben ons hun visie geschetst waar ze met 38CC heen willen, naar een Museum van het alsof. 38CC wordt gedragen door ruim 20 vrijwilligers, mooi en goed dat deze mensen dit doen. Doordat 38CC geen entreegelden vraagt, zijn de exposities en tentoonstellingen door iedereen te bezoeken en toegankelijk. Een aanrader voor een ieder binnen en buiten Delft.

Tafeltennisvereniging DVC maakt gebruik van een gymzaal van het Grotius College aan de Juniusstraat. Na de zomervakantie kan er echter geen gebruik meer worden gemaakt van de doucheruimtes. De doucheruimtes zijn door middel van een dichtgetimmerde deur afgeschermd. Ook de leerlingen van de school zullen na sporten met nare luchtjes de lessen moeten vervolgen! Vanuit het Grotius College wordt als reden ”ter voorkoming van legionella besmetting” aangegeven. Dit kan toch niet waar zijn!

Ook de bezoekende spelers van DVC kunnen na sporten niet douchen en dat is geen reclame voor de club.

Een contactpersoon vanuit het Grotius College heeft de volgende toelichting aan de voorzitter van DVC medegedeeld:

“T.a.v. de douches: wij hebben in het verleden vaak te maken gehad met legionella besmetting, helaas. Dit is een enorme kostenpost, aangezien het verwijderen van deze legionella heel duur is. De leerlingen van onze school (en overigens van alle scholen) douchen zich helaas niet na de gymlessen, hoewel we hier wel op aandringen. Wij hebben daarom besloten de douches te sluiten ter voorkoming van legionella. Om deze douches alleen voor de huurders open te stellen en hiervoor een installatie aan te schaffen die legionella moet voorkomen, is op dit moment een te grote kostenpost voor onze school, die in moeilijk financieel vaarwater zit.”

Stadsbelangen Delft vindt sport en bewegen belangrijk voor zowel jong als oud. Douchen na inspanningen is een stuk hygiënischer en beter voor de gezondheid waar we tegenwoordig steeds meer mee bezig zijn.

Stadsbelangen Delft zal deze casus verder oppakken.
