Kamer weigert debat over omstreden Marrakesh immigratiedeal

Deze week weigerde de coalitie de oproep van FVD-leider Thierry Baudet om in debat te gaan over deomstreden VN-immigratiedeal, waarin immigratie tot “mensenrecht” kan worden verklaard. Mark Rutte (VVD) en Sybrand Buma (CDA) willen dat Nederland deze deal in december in Marrakesh ondertekent.
Als gevolg van dit verdrag kan nog veel meer immigratie uit Afrika en het Midden-Oosten op gang komen. Zeker nu activistische rechters in de ‘Urgenda-zaak’ hebben laten zien dat ook zgn. “niet-bindende” klimaatafspraken gewoon tot bindend beleid kunnen worden gemaakt.
De Verenigde Staten, Hongarije en Australië hebben al aangegeven deze immigratiedeal NIET te zullen ondertekenen omdat ze vrezen hiermee alle controle over hun immigratiebeleid te verliezen. Ook hebben Oostenrijk, Polen en Denemarken grote zorgen geuit. Zij zullen de deal hoogstwaarschijnlijk evenmin ondertekenen.
De FVD-motie waarin de regering wordt opgeroepen het Marrakesh-pact niet te ondertekenen werd verworpen door VVD en CDA. Zoals keer op keer blijkt: VVD en CDA roepen in campagnetijd op tot minder immigratie; maar ondertussen zijn ze verantwoordelijk voor steeds meer immigratie. 2017 was een absoluut recordjaar. Er kwamen meer dan 235.000 mensen naar Nederland!

TBT: Last weekend VVD International again successfully organised the Partnership Day and annual Ambassador Day during the VVD spring congress in Papendal. Twelve delegates from our liberal friends represented their party during different sessions about campaigning and talent management in the interest of promoting closer cooperation within the liberal political family. Additionally, 20 EU ambassadors and other international guests attended our annual Ambassador Day. They had a pleasant panel discussion about the main priorities of the Dutch foreign policy together with Bente Becker MP, Anne Mulder MP, Hans van Baalen MEP and the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Stef Blok, moderated by Kamran Ullah. #Gaaf

De lijst wordt aangevoerd door VVD-fractievoorzitter Niels Bonenkamp, die al in oktober door de leden als lijsttrekker werd aangewezen. Nummer 2 en eerste vrouw op de lijst is huidig fractielid Anneriek Verhoef. Zittend wethouder Richard Quakernaat is lijstduwer.
Op de lijst staan verder nieuwe en bekende gezichten met een diversiteit aan kennis en (politiek-bestuurlijke) ervaring. Een gevarieerde lijst ook waarin alle leeftijden vertegenwoordigd zijn, van twintigers tot zestigers.
Lijsttrekker Niels Bonenkamp: “Ik ben trots op deze groep kandidaten. Stuk voor stuk staan ze midden in de samenleving. Met dit mooie team gaan we met veel enthousiasme en vertrouwen de campagne in.”

• Benoeming leden van het stembureau;
• Toelichting van bestuur over de volgorde de ontwerpkandidaten lijst;
• Persoonlijke presentatie door de verkiesbare kandidaten;
• Beraadslagingen;
• Stemming;
